Wild Atlantic Surf Co Sponsors 2020 Irish Sup Surf ClassicAndrew Marsden
Wild Atlantic Surf Co announces sponsorship for the 2020 Irish Sup Surf Classic in Sligo, Ireland.
Hailed as Europe’s most dedicated SUP Surfing contest and gathering, this year’s paddle battle will be held at Enniscrone in County Sligo, hosted by Irish SUP. Embracing all things wild and outdoors the Wild Atlantic Surf Co team are involved and sponsoring this year’s judges team with their Wet and Dry Changing Robes and providing prizes as well as donating a robe for the RNLI raffle.
The event is unique in that the contest is judged by the competitors themselves in between and after heats, so surfers end up being scored by their peers and gain an understanding of what is involved to progress through heats. The paddleboards the surfers use are specially designed for surfing and the event draws some of Ireland and the UK’s best paddle surfers in addition to European competitors. The atmosphere is friendly and sociable with competitors locking themselves in for the 2 day event and enjoying after parties, camaraderie and good old fashioned craic.
“A warm welcome to Wild Atlantic Surf Co, we know the lads and some of them are actually pretty talented paddlers, we hope to see them get in the water in the thick of it. This is a great event to have them on board and what they are doing in supporting these types of events is great for Irish surfing as a whole’ – Paul Byrne, Irish SUP.
